Progress Pilates Terms and Conditions

Progress Pilates – Terms & Conditions

By purchasing a Progress Pilates membership or class pack and attending classes, you agree to the following terms and conditions.

Monthly Membership – Paid monthly every month

Your membership reserves you a regular place in one weekly Progress Pilates class, either Monday in Tolworth or Tuesday in Surbiton.

The membership fee is collected automatically each month.

Progress Pilates operates for a minimum of 44 teaching weeks per year. The monthly fee is calculated across the full year, so your £51 monthly payment remains the same during planned class closures and holidays.

If you are unable to attend your usual class, you may request to attend the alternative Progress Pilates class that week, subject to availability and agreement in advance.

Missed classes are not refundable.

Membership may be cancelled by giving one month's notice. Any payments falling due during the notice period remain payable.

Flexible 6-Class Pack

The Flexible 6-Class Pack includes six Progress Pilates classes.

Your six classes must be used within eight teaching weeks from the date of your first class.

Planned Progress Pilates closure weeks do not count towards the eight-week period.

You may attend either the Tolworth or Surbiton class, subject to availability. A class pack does not guarantee a regular weekly space.

Unused classes expire at the end of the eight-teaching-week period and cannot normally be carried forward, transferred to another person or refunded.

The below applies to both the monthly membership and 6 class packs

If You Miss a Class

If you are unable to attend a class, please let me know as soon as possible.

Monthly members may request to make up their missed class at the alternative venue, subject to availability. Make-up spaces cannot be guaranteed.

Missed classes cannot be refunded or credited against future membership payments.

If Progress Pilates Cancels a Class

If I am unable to teach due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, I will endeavour to find a suitably qualified cover instructor so that the class can go ahead as planned.

If suitable cover cannot be arranged and the class has to be cancelled, you will be able to make up the missed class at the alternative Progress Pilates venue, subject to availability.

For Flexible 6-Class Pack holders, a class cancelled by Progress Pilates will not be deducted from your pack and, where necessary, the validity period of your pack will be extended.

I will always aim to give as much notice as reasonably possible if a class needs to be cancelled or changed.

Health & Participation

All participants must complete a Progress Pilates health questionnaire before taking part in their first class.

It is your responsibility to let me know about any relevant changes to your health, injury, pregnancy or medical circumstances that may affect your participation.

Please listen to your body and work at a level that feels appropriate for you. If you experience pain, feel unwell or are concerned about an exercise, please stop and let your instructor know.

Pilates classes are not a substitute for individual medical advice. If you are unsure whether Pilates is suitable for you, please seek advice from an appropriate healthcare professional.

Behaviour & Respect for Others

Progress Pilates aims to provide a friendly, welcoming and comfortable environment for everyone attending classes.

Participants are expected to behave respectfully towards the instructor, other participants, venue staff and the facilities being used.

Progress Pilates reserves the right to ask someone to leave a class, or to refuse future attendance, where their behaviour is disruptive, abusive, threatening, inappropriate or is significantly affecting the enjoyment, comfort or safety of other participants.

Where appropriate, I will aim to discuss concerns with the participant before taking this action. However, in circumstances involving serious misconduct or safety concerns, immediate removal from a class may be necessary.

Payments

Payments are made securely through Stripe.

Monthly membership payments are collected automatically and will continue until the membership is cancelled in accordance with the cancellation terms above.

Flexible 6-Class Packs are paid for in full at the time of purchase.

Missed Classes, Swaps and Make-Up Classes

Your Monthly Membership reserves your regular weekly place in either the Monday Tolworth class or the Tuesday Surbiton class.

You are welcome to swap to the alternative class when needed. Please contact Progress Pilates in advance to arrange the swap.

If you miss your class for a whole week, you may make up the missed class at the alternative venue within 5 weeks of the missed class. This means you may attend two classes in one week in order to make up a class you have missed.

Make-up classes must be arranged with Progress Pilates in advance.

Missed classes must be made up within the 5-week period and cannot be carried forward beyond this time, transferred to another person, exchanged for credit or refunded.

Changes to Classes

Occasionally, it may be necessary to change a class time, venue or instructor. I will give as much notice as reasonably possible if this happens.

Progress Pilates reserves the right to make reasonable changes to the class timetable and these terms and conditions. Clients will be informed of any significant changes affecting their membership or class pack.
